Kanye West and socialite Kim Kardashian cause media mayhem anywhere they go so its no wonder that when they appeared on the cover of high fashion magazine Vogue it would cause a storm globally!! Undeniably the pictures are flawless and Kimye as they have been labelled alongside North make for the most picture perfect family. Numerous celebrities and industry critics have slated the magazine for selecting the controversial Kardashian who is constantly criticized for her actions, fashion and life choices, adorning the vogue website with disapproving comments. Celebrities such as Sarah Michelle Gellar tweeted ‘Well……I guess I’m canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???’ which proceeded to get over 8,000 re tweets and 11,000 favorites.
Are they actually offending anyone? who could possibly be angry at Norths signature quizzical West brow and chubby posture and Kimye’s quest for world domination seems somewhat natural for Kanye’s outrageous personality and strong willed ways.
Surely anyone would have liked to be a fly on the wall at this shoot, described delicately and to the point by vogue editors…
“The fast-cooling Los Angeles afternoon air is filled with the scent of eucalyptus and mimosa, the gurgle of water as it tumbles down a fountain wall into a picture-perfect azure pool, the exultant strains of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” and a chorus of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” performed in unhappy a Capella by Annie Leibovitz and Kris Jenner”.

After working myself into the ground during the last few weeks and spending endless days at uni, i was extremely looking forward to going home for the afternoon this Monday to treat my mom to an afternoon tea as a belated mothers day. I don’t get home often due to work and uni so any chance i have to spend some much needed time at home i do, me and my mom are very alike and despite turbulent times during my teenage years she is now my best friend and someone i can always rely on, i think this is super important in life.
The Moat House at Acton Trussel do the best afternoon tea i have ever had and the cakes are so yummy! Surrounded by a picturesque lake it is the perfect place for a peaceful afternoon and i was extremely saddened on the train back to Birmingham later that afternoon, another flying visit done

Re-tweeted more than 3 million times, host Ellen DeGeneres instigated a celeb filled group selfie at the Oscars on Sunday which sent twitter into momentarily melt down for the first time ever. Bradley Cooper is seen holding the camera surrounded by celebs such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts to name a few. What would you give to be in this famous selfie snap?
Liza Minnelli may be a Hollywood legend but her lack of bra and visible nipple pads were a little more than distracting from her royal blue silk trouser suit clashing with the oh so red carpet. Brownie points for matching the hair to the outfit though!
There is no doubting Pharrell Williams is uber cool yet he certainly set tongues waging with this oh so wrong look at the Oscars showcasing shorts in all the wrong ways. Not only did he look dwarf like compared to his beautiful wife who rocked a two piece elegantly, it was very much business on top party down below. He certainly set social media on fire, no doubt there will be several business men rocking half trousers next week.
The fashion that lines the famous red carpet at the Oscars has became almost as famous as the gold gongs themselves.
This year did not disappoint in the fashion stakes here are some of my favorite looks from the red carpet…
Jennifer Lawrence provided the perfect scarlet in this beautiful fitted, strapless Dior dress with peplum detail and unusual backwards necklace. Although for her age her hair was a little aging with its zebra style highlights dampening the look slightly.
Kate Hudson brought true Hollywood glamour to the evening with this stunning beaded Versace dress complete with deep plunge v neck and cape detail showcasing just the right amount of flesh, complimented with flawless make up and effortless hair.
My absolute favorite look of the night came from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the Vanity Fair Oscar’s party. Sporting a sophisticated pale blue Cushnie et Ochs gown, the knock-out model was the picture of elegance supported by boyfriend Jason Statham. The dress featured classical pearl detailing and strategically placed sheer paneling, the perfect shade for Rosie’s English rose skin complexion.
Crowd falls crazy in love with Mrs Carter.
I was lucky enough have tickets for the Beyoncé concert in Birmingham this week and i was super excited to see her finally, after hearing rave reviews from friends of mine about the ‘Queen B’ of pop. And she DID NOT disappoint! The show was full steam ahead from the minute the logo encrusted curtain lifted to reveal Beyoncé belting out ‘run the world (girls)’ fitting for the majority female audience who were on their feet singing and dancing all night long. Although used effectively the staging was surprisingly simply which only highlighted Beyoncé’s fierce presence much more, with an all female incredibly talented live band to her two twin male dancers who kept the crowd entertained between outfit changes, everything was FLAWLESS in the words of the queen herself. The introduction of new songs was hugely welcome by myself personally as i love the new visual album and her vocals were absolutely out of this world, especially when she sang a rendition of Whitney Houston ‘i will always love you’ which gave me goosebumps, the atmosphere was unreal.
Two things are undeniable about Beyoncé. First, the voice – her vocals for the entire evening were sublime and effortless. Combined with some impressive choreography, Beyoncé is one helluva performer. Even when on stage by herself, Beyoncé is a captivating performer and doesn’t need ostentatious set pieces to give a memorable performance. Secondly, there’s her star quality and charm. In those moments engaged with the audience, Beyoncé’s warmth poured out of her, undoubtedly aided by her Texan drawl and infectious smile that you cannot help but fall in love with.
On the fashion front – the costume changes were all seamless with little interruption, from ghetto glamor to full on sophistication the outfits were impeccably thought out and fitting. And one thing is for sure, Beyoncé would look good in a plastic bin bag, her body is INCREDIBLE and envious and i will one hundred per cent be going to see her again…
