Moss for Topshop… AGAIN.
One of the strongest bonds in fashion is that of Kate Moss and Topshop god Phillip Green. Following a four year hiatus Kate Moss launched a new high street collection for the popular brand causing a celebration to be proud of with celebs such as Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne and Sienna Miller in attendance, all rocking Kate Moss of course.
The launch was as sensational just like Kate herself with a traffic stopping in store experience at London’s Oxford Circus followed by a chic VIP dinner at The Connaught. Duke Dumont performed in shop windows as Kate herself introduced the collection to the eagerly awaiting crowds dressed in a suit from the collection. Later on Moss switched up the glamor and transformed into a liquid metallic gown and beaded fringed jacket, which subsequently sold out within hours of the launch to join mogul Phillip Green for the chic dinner including only the hottest of attendees.
The collection itself is very Moss however i cant help feeling it is a little too similar to previous complete with sequins and fringing at an extortionate price.
Items from the collection sold out within hours and appeared on eBay for in excess of £750 pounds! Kate is said to have sourced inspiration for the 40 piece collection from her own wardrobe which as originally predicted isn’t full of just designer labels as the supermodel claims she loves scouring the rails of second hand stores. In addition to channeling a somewhat vintage look she was also keen to reflect a laid back style with comfortable trousers and distinct prints. Switching it up to Hollywood glamor within the evening wear complete with flapper style dresses and floor length metallic numbers.
You have to hand it to the superior supermodel, she sure knows how to work the camera…
