Adorning the front row was the man himself Phillip Green of course, accompanied by the ever stylish Kate Moss and younger sibling Lottie Moss, in addition Kendall Jenner made her first appearance with none other than style goddess Anna Wintour. As the crowds of fashionista’s perched and clinking of champagne flutes settled the bright lights beamed this years catwalk at chosen venue The Tate Gallery.
The show opened to school like Navy Blues and Pencil Greys marched with plenty of layering teamed with ankle boots and socks or daring over the knee boots. Emerging into fur and lots of it, strong Browns and Greys wore around the neck or thrown in for effect on outwear descending into strong Yellows with a touch of snake print mixed with deep Mustard’s and subtle Brown/Tan leathers, almost safari explorer like. Lemons and simple make up complimented striking white blonde models, smokey eyes heavily lined by thick cosy furs. Introducing Fuchsia in bold over sized patchwork heaven mixed with complimenting pastel Pinks and calming Camel, with Khaki, Navy and Grey once more giving way to the explosion of tropical like prints in bright Blues with a hint of Burgundy layered knits. As the music switched up a gear to Disclosures – White Noise, the risque ensembles made their entrance. Sheer body’s embellished with light reflecting beading covered modesty dressed down with heavy boots with cute feminine socks. The finale roared to the sound of Beyonce’s famous – who run the world, an appropriate fitting for an all girl military presence to showcase another fabulous year for Topshop Unique!
The opportunity to view the show LIVE on Topshop’s website was fabulous, as you were able to witness the activity before and after the show. I was encapsulated by Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, Here are some of my favorite looks…
